Carl L. Sibbrell, of Chesterton, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005 at
Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus, Valparaiso. He was 71.
He was born May 26, 1934 in Chesterton, the son of Carl J. and Mildred
(Weaver) Sibbrell, both of whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by Jeanette Cooper Sibbrell, wife of 49 years, of Chesterton.
He is also survived by two sons, Kenneth (Ilene) Sibbrell of Chesterton and
Steven (Sandra) Sibbrell of Hebron; a daughter, Brenda (Allan) Gudenschwager
of Hebron; a sister, Marilyn Marquardt of Ill., a brother, Wayne (Laverna)
Sibbrell of Chesterton; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was retired from U.S. Steel, where he was employed as a welder. He was a
member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Funeral services, Pastor David Graef officiating, will be at 1 p.m.,
Saturday, Dec. 10 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
Interment will be at Chesterton Cemetery, Chesterton.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Friday at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home.
