Andrew S. Cibak, Jr. dies at 64

Andrew S. Cibak Jr. of Chesterton died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005 at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Chicago. He was 64.

He was born Jan. 14, 1941 in East Chicago, Ind., the son of Andrew S. Sr. and Catherine (Jarchan) Cibak, both of whom preceded him in death.

He is survived by a son, Andy Cibak of Chesterton; a daughter, Catherine Cibak of Chesterton; five grandchildren, Andrew, Samantha, Rebecca, Robert and Trinity.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Cibak.

Andrew was an area resident for 32 years. He was a self-employed gas station owner. He was former owner of Andy’s Amoco in Chesterton. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

A Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Sunday, at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
