Tedd E. Mishler dies at 66

Teddy Earl Mishler, 66, formerly of Chesterton, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2004 in Virginia.

He was born Apr. 2, 1938 in Warsaw, the son of the late John G. Mishler and Arles Kayren (Greene) Mishler.

On Sept. 9, 1967 in Chicago, he married Carol Lee Basile, who survives.

He is also survived by two sons, James Mishler of Iola, Wis. and John Mishler of Virginia Beach, Va.; a daughter, Joanna Mishler of San Jose, Cal.; two sisters, Eyvette (Jan) Rose of La Porte, Ind., and Sonja (Ward) New of El Paso, Tex.; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Rezzardi of Crestwood, Ill.; and many, many loving nieces and nephews.

He graduated from La Porte High School in 1956 and joined the Air Force as a linguist. He and Carol moved to Chesterton in 1973. He worked at Bethlehem Steel until 1976, when he received his Juris Doctor and opened a law practice in northwestern Indiana. He was the Standing Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee for the South Bend District from 1987 until Sept. 2003, when he re-opened his own practice in Michigan City and South Bend. He retired in July 2004.

Memorial donations may be made to local hospice centers in the name of Tedd E. Mishler.
