Rosalie Roles dies at 64

Rosalie Roles, of Chesterton, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2004 at Whispering Pines Health Care Center, Valparaiso. She was 64.

She was born March 11, 1940 in Franklin, Ky. the daughter of Buford and Della Belle (Piland) Porter, both of whom preceded her in death.

On Dec. 19, 1959 in Indianapolis, she married Roger Jerome Roles, who preceded her in death June 26, 1983.

She is survived by a son James Ray Roles of St. Camas, Wash.; a daughter Rhonda (Michael) Lohse of Valparaiso; good friend, Pete Jurdzy of Hobart and three grandchildren, Samantha and Amanda Roles and Kathryn Rose Lohse.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Buford and William and three sisters, Josephine, Betty and Dorothy.

She was an area resident for 30 years and was a home maker. She was a member of the Chesterton Women of the Moose Lodge 1623 and former member of The Eastern Star.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 at Chesterton Cemetery. Cremation with interment of ashes will be at Chesterton Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Arrangements were handled by Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
