Raymond Wilber Larson, of Valparaiso, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004 at V.N.A.
Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso. He was 80.
He was born Jan. 15, 1924 in Miller, Ind., the son of Harry and Elizabeth (Asplund)
Larson, both of whom preceded him in death.
On Sept. 7, 1946 in Miller, he married Dorothy Jen Haugen, who survives in
Valparaiso.
He is also survived by two sons, Raymond W. Larson Jr. of Atlanta, Ga. and
Keith August (Beth) Larson of Valparaiso; a daughter, Patricia (Ronald)
Irwin of Lowell; a brother, Russell (Iris) Larson of Miller; a sister, Doris
(Lee) Trasher of Miller; four grandchildren, Scott, Melissa, Rebecca Irwin
and Johnny Larson.
He was a life long area resident. He retired in 1989 from Furnco, where he
was employed as an operating engineer. He was a member of Chesterton Moose
Lodge #1623.
A funeral service, Rev. Christoph Armiger officiating, will be at 11 a.m.
Monday, Dec. 27, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 411 N. Montgomery, Miller.
Interment will be at Burstrom Cemetery, Porter.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 26 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral
Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
