Paul Tom Dolan dies at 67

The father of a Chesterton resident, Paul “Tom” Dolan, of Valparaiso died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 at his home. He was 67.

He was born April 27, 1937 in Viroqua, Wis., the son of Joseph and Margaret (Wood) Dolan, both of whom preceded him in death.

On Dec. 31, 1992 in Valparaiso, he married Linda Boezeman, who survives.

He is also survived by five children, Colleen O’Brien of Mt. Airy, Md., Sherrill Edwards of Chesterton, Robert (Carrie) Bezotte, Brian Boezeman and Dustin Boezeman, all of Valparaiso; two sisters, Mary (George) Kakuschka of Reedsport, Ore., Florence Olson of LaCrosse, Wis.; three brothers, Francis (Susie) Dolan of Imperial City, Calif., James (Sharon) Dolan of LaPorte, John (Gail) Dolan of Onalaska, Wis. and seven grandchildren, Brittany, Sam, Morgan, Madison, Taylor, Michael and Elli.

He was preceded in death by parents, four brothers, Donald, William, Phillip and Charles and a sister, Theresa.

He served four years with the U.S. Air Force and had been a Superintendent with Operating Engineers Local #150 retiring in 2002 with 26 years of service. He will be missed by his family and dog “Jake,” and fondly remembered for his love of his yard, flowers and AA recovery program.

A memorial service, Fr. Jack Meyer officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd. Valparaiso.

Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory, a memorial visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
