Mabel M. Biggs dies at 93

Mabel M. Biggs, 93, of Francesville, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004.

She was born July 6, 1911 in Valparaiso, the daughter of Henry C. and Nalda (Raymond) Barneko, both of whom preceded her in death.

On Nov. 23, 1939 in Valparaiso, she married Henry M. Biggs, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by three children, Ronald L. (Theresa) Biggs of Westville, Elaine M. Runk, of Medaryville and Larry G. (Janet) Biggs of Westville; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Terry (Pete) Runk.

She was a loving mother and housewife who enjoyed painting, sewing, crafts and playing cards. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Valparaiso.

A funeral service Fr. Joe Pawlowski officiating, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Queen of Apostle’s Chapel, 1855 Harrison Blvd., Valparaiso. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 30 at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St., Valparaiso and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
