Infant Malachi Logan Wesley dies

Malachi Logan Wesley of Chesterton died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004 at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

He was born Dec. 3, 2004 in Valparaiso, the son of Jacob Isaac Wesley and Rachel Renee (Persuhn) Wesley, both of whom survive in Chesterton.

He is also survived by paternal grandparents, Larry and Phyllis Wesley of Chesterton; maternal grandparents Rev. William and Patricia Persuhn Sr. of Portage; great grandfather, Ralph Persuhn of Boswell, Pa.; great grandmother, Devera Wesley of Chesterton; aunts and uncles, Bill (April) Persuhn Jr., Joshua (Andrea) Persuhn, Deborah Nichols, Pamela Walter, Elizabeth (Ernest) Ciarniello, Christine (Jim) Field, Jessie Lee (Lynn) Wesley of Ga. and Jeff (Louise) Wesley of N.C.; numerous great aunts and great uncles and cousins.

What a blessing from heaven above...To see our son for 10 hours could never be long enough. In heaven he’ll be forever with Father God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit.

A funeral service, Rev. William S. Persuhn Sr. officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage. Interment will be at McCool Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 - 11 a.m., Thursday at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family.
