Donna R. Fancher dies at 43

Donna R. Fancher, of Chesterton, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004 at Porter Portage Hospital Campus. She was 43.

She was born Jan. 7, 1961 in Gary the daughter of Raymond and Catherine (Niksich) Schaefer, both of whom preceded her in death.

On March 17, 1987, in Merrillville, she married Billy J. Fancher, who survives in Chesterton.

She is also survived by two sons, Steven Fancher and Matthew Fancher and a daughter, Stephanie Fancher, all of Chesterton; a brother, Edward (Pat) Schaefer of North Judson; two sisters, Connie (Dan) Perez of Burns Harbor and Sandie (Roger) Mills of Plymouth; grandchildren Zelda Katherine Fancher of Valparaiso and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was a life-long area resident and was a home maker.

Funeral services, Rev. Edward Mitchell officiating, will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton. Cremation will be at Heritage Crematory, Portage.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Monday, at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton.
