Bertha M. Wuletich, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Chesterton, died Thursday,
Oct. 28, 2004 in Dallas. She was 89.
She was born Nov. 4, 1914 in Columbia City, Ind., the daughter of Clarence
and Matilda (Beers) Firestone, both of whom preceded her in death.
On Sept. 11, 1938 in Gary, she married Rudy Wuletich, who preceded her in
death Mmarch 30, 1998.
She is survived by two daughters, Judith Krimmel of Austin, Texas and Teri
(Jay) LaJone of Dallas; grandchildren, Brad and Keslar Krimmel of Austin and
Katy and Samantha LaJone of Dallas; a brother-in-law, Michael Masters of Bay
Village, Ohio; a brother-in-law and family Bronc Wuletich of Ft. Walton
Beach, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Daisy Wuletich of Chesterton; a cousin, Adrian
Beers of Columbia City; two nephews, Jim Wuletich of Chesterton and John
Masters of Lake Forest, Ill. and a niece Barbara Riley of New Haven Conn.
She was also preceded in death by a son, John Thomas Wuletich and two
sisters, De’Maris Feit and Sara Foster.
She was an area resident for 50 years. She worked for Rearick Real Estate
from 1965 to 1980. She was a former member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority and a
past president. She was also a past president of the Woman’s Club, former
member of Eastern Star, member of the Indiana Board of Realtors and a past
president of the Yost School P.T.A. Bertha was a member of the Chesterton
United Methodist Church and the Wesleyan Circle at the Church. While living
in Chesterton, she painted with artist Francis Milan Jensen.
Funeral services, Rev. Terry Rhine officiating, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday,
Nov. 11 at Chesterton’s First United Methodist Church, 434 S. 2nd St.,
Chesterton. Interment will be at Chesterton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home,
517 Broadway.
