Alma Kuss dies at 72

The mother of a Chesterton resident, Alma Kuss, of Hebron, died Nov. 3, 2004 in San Pierre. She was 72.

She was born Oct. 1, 1932 in Marion, Ill., the daughter of Ernest and Opal LeMay, both of whom preceded her in death.

On Nov. 26, 1949 in Marion, Ill., she married Thomas Kuss, who survives.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Tom) Billings of Chesterton and Wanda (Otto) Hopkins of Wheatfield; a son Randall (Marsha) Kuss of Medaryville; three sisters, Ruth Meyer of Evansville, Doris Winters and Wanda Johnson, both of Johnston City, Ill.; three brothers, Richard Kuss and Donald Kuss, both of Hebron and Jerry Kuss of Valparaiso; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Riley LeMay.

She was a home maker.

A funeral service, Pastor Blanchard officiating, will be at noon Saturday, Nov. 6, at Kosanke Funeral Home in Kouts. Interment will be in Kouts.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Kosanke Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to World Vision Missions and Shepherd’s Home.
