Services set for Dorothy Bell

Chesterton resident Dorothy (Dottie) H. Bell, 64, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago.

She was born Jan. 13, 1939, the daughter of Francis and Beulah (Baldwin) Walls, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Bell Russell of Westville; a life and business partner, Steven Brickner of Chesterton; and three aunts, Helen Dowler of Villa Grove, Ill., Lela Elniskey of Munster, and Helen Pryor of Munster.

She was the co-owner of the Flower Cart in Chesterton, a member of the American Institute of Floral Design and the American Academy of Floral Culture, and belonged to the Order of Eastern Star of Valparaiso, the Women of the Moose, Chesterton, and Tri-Kappa.

Funeral services, the Pastor Terry C. Rhine officiating, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. Second St. in Chesterton, with cremation to follow at Calvary Crematory in Portage.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at White-Love.

Because of her deep love for flowers and the joy they bring, flowers may be sent to White-Love. Out of love and respect the Flower Cart will be closed Tuesday.
