Service set for Troy Lenburg

Liberty Township resident Troy Lenburg died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003 in the emergency room at Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso. He was 46.

Born in Valparaiso on August 29, 1957, he was the son of Elmer R. Lenburg Jr. and Dorothy A. Siewert Lenburg, both of whom survive in Liberty Township. On June 16, 1979 in Chesterton, he married Debra K. Anderson, who survives in Liberty Township.

Also surviving are daughter Nicole R. Lenburg of Liberty Township; sister Trecia Zoll (husband William) of Lawton, Mich.; mother and father-in-law Bob and Jackie Anderson of Chesterton; brother-in-law Ted Pliske of Chesterton; nieces and nephews Stefanie and Kirk Pliske, Lindsay Rogers, and Whitney and Tyler Zoll; and great grandmother-in-law Hazel Anderson of Michigan City.

He was preceded in death by his sisters-in-law Cheryl Pliske and Dawn Rogers.

A lifelong area resident, he was an engineer employed by the Northern Indiana Public Service Co. He was a member of the Chesterton Moose Lodge #1623 and a former member of the Chesterton Kiwanis and the Moose Golf and Bowling Leagues. He once bowled a perfect 300 game. He was a graduate of Chesterton High School and Purdue University.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, with the Rev. Gary Nagy officiating. Interment will be in Chesterton Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 until 8 p.m. at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer or to the American Heart Association.
