Service set for Lisa H. Ellis

Chesterton resident Lisa H. Ellis died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003 at the V.N.A. Hospice of Valparaiso. She was 41.

She is survived by daughter Jessica Ellis of Galesburg, Mich.; son Nick Ellis of Chesterton; fiancee Nick Randolph of Chesterton; former husband, Chris Ellis of Galesburg, Mich.; sister Louise Borsits (husband David) of Hammond; brothers Danny Pool and Carl “Kimmy” Pool, both of Hammond; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A lifetime resident of the Calumet area, she was a dispatcher for Able Disposal of Chesterton for 11 years. She was a member of the Chesterton Art Club. A loving mother, sister and friend, she loved gardening and many other endeavors.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003 at 6 p.m. at the Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Ave., in the Hessville section of Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. A graveside service will be Friday at Elmwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
