Robert Stephan Tkatch dies at 76

Former Chesterton resident Robert Tkatch died Nov. 15, 2003 in Fort Myers, Fla. He was 76.

He was born Oct. 26, 1927, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of Stephan and Anna (Visokey) Tkatch, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, a nephew, Dr. Rodney Altman, a niece, Dr. Sharon Altman, a grand nephew, Rodney Altman, Jr., a grand niece, Ashley Altman, two stepsons, Richard and Randel Stoltz, two step-grandsons, Steven Stoltz and Shad Stoltz, and three step great-grandchildren, Timothy, Samantha and Zoe Stoltz.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Regina Tkatch, Dorothy Altman and her husband Robert Altman.

Robert was the President of Execu-TEK, an executive search and recruiting company in San Jose, Calif. before retiring to Fort Myers, three years ago. In earlier years he was a Real Estate Broker and the head of The State of Pennsylvania’s Workman’s Compensation. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and Michigan University. He was a veteran of WWII.

Interment will be accorded in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Ambridge, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetic and/or Heart Association.
