Olivia C. Johnson, of Portage, died Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at Millers Merry Manor Nursing Home, Portage. She was 94.

She was born July 22, 1908 in Duluth, Minn., the daughter of Olaf and Christina Olson, who preceded her in death.

On June 1, 1962 in Miller, Ind., she married Chester O. Johnson, who preceded her in death on January 11, 1983.

She is survived by four grandchildren, Roberta Anderson of Franklin, Kan., Susan Anderson of Yukon, Okla., David (Angie) Anderson and Jeff (Dee) Anderson and four great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald and a sister, Mable.

She was employed as a clerk at the Welfare Department of Lake County, Ind. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Duluth, Minn. and a member of the Nightingales of Hobart, Ind.

Funeral services, Rev. Timothy Engel officiating, are scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage. Interment will be at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel.
