Nicole A. Hisey dies at 80

Nicole A. Hisey, of Chesterton, died Friday, December 12, 2003 at Whispering Pines Health Care Center, Valparaiso. She was 80.

She was born March 2, 1923 in Paris, France, the daughter of Oscar and Lucienne (Hohat) Vogelgesang.

In 1946 in Paris, France, she married Jack L. Hisey, who preceded her in death February 15, 1998.

She is survived by a son, Darrell Hisey of Gary; 2 daughters, Leslie A. Bryner and Jerry O’Keefe, both of Chesterton; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was a home maker and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Chesterton.

A Mass of Christian Burial, Rev. Ian Williams officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 16 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 648 N. Calumet Rd. Interment will be at Chesterton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. today at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton. Rosary will be recited at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given to Porter County VNA Home Hospice Care, Activity Dept. at Whispering Pines, or the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
