Mary (Betty) Reynolds, of Valparaiso, died January 30, 2003 at Porter Memorial Hospital. She was 77.

She was born June 21, 1925 in Chicago, the daughter of John and Katherine (Monahan) Heskett, who preceded her in death.

On April 16, 1949 in Chicago, she married Fred I. Reynolds, who preceded her in death May 1, 2001.

She is survived by four sons, David (Debbi) Reynolds, Daniel (Mary Beth Friend) Reynolds and Joseph (Kathy) Reynolds, all of Portage and Fred Reynolds of Aptos, Calif.; a daughter, Mary (Marty) Hyde of Portage; a sister, Joan (Donald) Hudak of Lois, S.C.; a cousin, Jimmy (Honalora) Williams of Hinsdale, Ill.; 10 grandchildren, Kassey (Eric) Jones, David Reynolds II, Korey Reynolds, Michael Wall, Ryan Wall, Kevin Wall, Kenny Hyde, Autum Hyde, Erin Reynolds, Allison Reynolds; a great-grandchild, Cooper Jones and sister-in-law, Dorothy Heskett.

She was also preceded in death by a brother Donald Heskett.

She has been a resident since 1985 and was retired from Sears Catalog Department. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrow Parish. She graduated from Parker High School in Chicago.

Funeral services, Rev. Father Douglas Mayer officiating, are scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday Feb. 1 at Our Lady of Sorrow Church, 356 W. Seven Mile Rd., Valparaiso. Interment will be at Heritage Cemetery, Portage.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave., Portage.
