Marna Maude Smith-Kredlo dies at 77

Marna Maude Smith-Kredlo, 77, of Lake of the Four Seasons, formerly of Chesterton, died Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at Lake of the Four Seasons.

She was born May 14, 1926 in Grandview, Ill., the daughter of Arthur and Naomi (Burtner) Smith, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons, Timothy R. Kredlo (Amy Carlson) of Washougal, Wash., Thomas A. Kredlo of Kent, Wash., Mark A. Kredlo of Plymouth; four daughters, Mary Beth Walker of Chesterton, Margaret M. Kredlo of Crown Point, Denise (Ronald) Reeves of Washougal, Wash. and Katherine E. Callahan of Ariz.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; three brothers, Bruce (Joann) Smith of Valparaiso, Charles (Sue) Smith of St. Joseph, Mich. and Dr. John (Ann) Smith of LaPorte and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was past and founding president of the Chesterton Garden Club. She attended Valparaiso University and was an administrative assistant.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation will be at Calvary Crematory, Portage.

Memorials may be given to Franciscan Hospice St. Anthony Medical Center, Crown Point, Ind.

Arrangements are under the direction of White-Love Funeral Home, Chesterton.
