Keith George Grandfield dies at 78

Keith George Grandfield, of Portage, Valparaiso and Hammond, 78, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003.

He was born Oct. 1, 1925 in Maize, Kansas, the son of Edwin Harrison and Jesse Blanche (Kaiser) Grandfield.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Glick Granfield, formerly of North Dakota and Hammond; children, Dr. Stephen (Ana) Grandfield of Ogden Dunes, Meg Renslow of Hammond, Anita (Dave) Gorglione of Tenn., Gail (David) Matthews and Carol (Mahdi) Albuhsain of Mo.; 14 grandchildren, Dr. Christopher (Jennifer) Grandfield, Cassie (Gary) Dennison, Vicki Grandfield, Jessica, Mandi and Andrew Renslow, Emily, Joey and Nick Gorglione, Jennifer and Michael Matthews and G’Bryl, Braheem and Nora Albuhsain; 3 great-grandchildren, Nick and Christian Grandfield and Gavin Daniel Deniso; siblings Twylah (Lyle) Mader and Ora (Ken) Kirkendal and numerous friends and acquaintances.

He was also preceded in death by a child, Daniel Granfield, who died in 2002 and a sister Alice (Milton) Manuel .

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20 at Marquette Park United Methodist Church, 215 Grand Blvd. in the Miller section of Gary, with a viewing at 10:30 a.m.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Friday, Dec. 19 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Ave. in Portage.

Memorials may be made to Marquette Park United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
