Jerald D. Larson, of Chesterton, died Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at VNA Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso. He was 68.

He was born May 18, 1935 in Eagle Grove, Iowa, the son of Harley J. and Alice J. (Allie) Larson, who preceded her in death.

On May 11, 1963 in Chesterton, he married Joan M. Youngren, who survives.

He is also survived by 3 children, Jeff (Jane) Larson of Chesterton, Julie Larson of Germantown, Md. and Jon (Gina) Larson of Las Vegas, Nev.; 3 grandchildren, Sean and Tyler Schemehorn, Germantown, Md. and Julia Larson of Chesterton and a sister, Donna Lagenour of Mitchell.

He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Harlan, Howard, James and Donald Larson.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local #150, Merrillville and was an Industrial Electrician. He enjoyed fishing and golf.

Funeral Services, Minister Scott Morris officiating, are scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St. Chesterton. Interment will be in Chesterton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Saturday at White-Love Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given to the VNA Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso.
