Cecelia Bridget (Earley) Bentley dies at 79

Cecelia Bridget (Earley) Bentley, recently of New Mexico and Prescott Valley, Ariz., formerly of Chesterton, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center, Prescott, Ariz. She was 79.

She was born March 23, 1924 in Chesterton, the daughter of James and Margaret (Maroney) Earley, who preceded her in death.

On March 21, 1945, she married Harold S. Bentley, who preceded her in death in Feb. 1998.

She is survived by 3 sons, Larry and Steve Bentley, both of Prescott Valley, Ariz. and Brian Bentley of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Darleen (Rodger) Pannell of Waynesboro, Va.; many grandchildren and nieces and nephews and 3 sisters, Mary L. (Norman E.) Christensen of Chesterton, Patricia Jarka of Aurora, Colo. and Kathleen (Norman) Nicholson of Michigan City.

She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Martin, Dennis, James, Paul and John Paul and a sister, Margaret Butler.

She was a home maker.

Funeral services, Rev. Ian Williams officiating, are scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 from White-Love Funeral Home, 252 S. 2nd St. Chesterton. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery, Chesterton.

The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials are preferred to the charity of the donor’s choice.
