Former Chesterton resident, Charles B. Tuley, of Shelbyville, Ind., died February 22, 2002 at his home. He was 85.

He was born March 9, 1916 in Rush County, Ind., the son of Henry C. and Jennie Alice (Fishback) Tuley, who preceded him in death.

On November 18, 1940 he married F. Evelyn Kettler, who survives in Shelbyville.

He is also survived by a daughter, Linda (Thomas) Brown of Bloomington, Ind.; three brothers, Bill Tuley of Morgantown, Ind., John Tuley and Robert Tuley, both of Shelbyville, Ind.; two sisters, Eva June Greenfield of Shelbyville and Kathrine Riley of Murray, Ky.

He retired from the Budd Co., Gary, Ind., where he was employed for 20 years. He was a member of Shelbyville V.F.W. #2695 and was a member of the United Auto Workers. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II.

A memorial service, Rev. David Bremer officiating, is scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd., Shelbyville, Ind. 46176. Phone 317-398-4599. Interment will be at Layton Cemetery, Rush County, Ind.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
