South Shore train derails in Chicago, 4 passengers hurt

CHICAGO (AP) - A South Shore train derailed outside Millennium Station Saturday morning, causing minor injuries to four people, officials said.

A westbound train experienced a "low-speed, minor derailment" while nearing Millennium Station on Metra tracks, according to an alert from the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District, which operates the line.

Four adults were injured, and were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

The train was carrying 74 passengers, fire officials said.
