Effective June 21 the South Shore commuter line will revert to its April 2, 2016 published timetable next week, following completion of the universal crossover installation project.

The South Shore expects to complete its universal crossover installation project on June 20, 2016. Therefore, NICTD will revert to the April 2, 2016 (green and orange) train schedule beginning Tuesday, June 21, 2016.

This notice affects Eastbound Trains 203 and 205, and Westbound Trains 220 and 20. No other train times are affected by this notice.

NICTD plans to replace the May 2 paper timetable and poster with the April 2 version at all stations. Please note that the Hegewisch ticket office will remain closed at this time.

The South Shore plans to issue a new timetable on July 1, 2016 to reflect the capital fare increase and family fare policy approved by the NICTD board on May 20, 2016. No train time changes are being made. For a list of the new fares and other changes visit www.nictd.com.

South Shore wishes to thank their customers for their patience and understanding during the universal crossover project.
