The U.S. Court of
Appeals is asking the public to comment on the application of U.S.
Bankruptcy Judge Robert E. Grant of the Northern District of Indiana to be
re-appointed by the Court of Appeals to a new 14-year term when his current
term expires on Saturday, Aug. 16.
A U.S. bankruptcy
judge is a judicial officer of the U.S. District Court who exercises the
authority of the district court with respect to any action, suit, or
proceeding under Chapter 6 of Title 28 of the U.S. Code. Comments are
invited from the public and the bar as to whether Grant should be
