Delayed Toll Road work projects rescheduled

Back To Front Page

Several construction projects on the Indiana Toll Road which had been delayed last week due to external issues have new start dates, the Indiana Toll Road Concession Company (ITRCC) said.

Lake Station Interchange

The next phase of this project was scheduled to begin on June 2. It officially began on Thursday.

During this phase of the project the ITRCC will be keeping open one lane of traffic in each direction, to allow vehicles to enter the Toll Road from either direction on I-80/94.

Motorists, however, are no longer able to exit the Toll Road at Exit 21 to eastbound 80/94 but should detour instead at Exit 17 (I-65).

Work on this phase is expected to last until November.

Cline Ave. Exit

The Cline Ave. eastbound exit ramp, set to be re-paved, will be temporarily closed beginning at 6 p.m. Monday, June 16.

The closure is expected to last into Tuesday or Wednesday.

Detour signs will be posted for eastbound traffic seeking to exit at Cline Ave.

Mill & Fill

Mill-and-fill pothole patching and deep-hole patching projects are scheduled to begin this week.

All areas of the Toll Road will be impacted, with an attempt to schedule most mainline closures during the nighttime hours to create as little traffic disruption as possible.

Daily lane closure updates will be posted to Twitter (@indianatollroad) and the Indiana Toll Road Facebook page.
