Westchester Public Library offers a Homebound Library Service for patrons in
Westchester Township who, for reasons of extended illness, injury or
disability have difficulty visiting either Thomas or Hageman Libraries.
Participants in the program receive personalized book selections and a
delivery of materials either every two weeks or once a month.
Ellen Adams, Homebound service provider and Merribeth Paunicka, Thomas
Library Children's Department manager recently visited with Dorothy Hoffman,
a homebound library patron.
Hoffman said she is grateful for the program and the fact that she can have
the service every couple of weeks because it gives her a greater variety of
book choices. She loves the library and recently donated 39 mini nutcrackers
to the Children's Department. Paunicka accompanied Adams on the recent visit
to thank Hoffman, bringing along a thank you card from the children.
