Have so many books that you donít know what to do with them? Donate gently used books to the Friends of the Library!

Patrons donating materials for the sale are encouraged to bring their donations to the collection box in the lobby of the Thomas Branch. The Library cannot use damaged books, books without covers, smelly or mildewed books, textbooks, or encyclopedia and reference sets more than ten years old. Nor do they accept any National Geographic magazines.

Mark your calendar for the Spring Friends of the Library Book Sale at the Thomas Branch. The sale will begin Friday, April 26, with the Friends-only Preview Sale from 4 to 8 p.m. Friends of the Library memberships will be sold at the door for $5 and will allow entrance into the Friends Only Preview Sales for 2019.

The Public Sale will be held Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Sunday, all items will be sold for $3 a bag.

Newer and special books will be individually priced. A large selection of hardcover books will be sold for $1 each and paperback books for 50 cents each. Childrenís and Young Adult books will be 25 cents.

Proceeds from the sales are donated to the Library and help fund many supplemental and special programming efforts such as film series, childrenís programs, book discussions, and staff recognition events.
