NOTICE OF PUBLIC
HEARING PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT STANDARD VARIANCE
Notice is hereby
given that the Board of Zoning Appeals of the County of Porter, Indiana,
will hold a public hearing on the 20th of July, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the
Porter County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Avenue, Suite 205,
Valparaiso, Indiana, to consider the petition of Bethel Valparaiso All
Nations Church, Inc., 552 Morthland Drive, Valparaiso, seeking a Development
Standard Variances from the following Unified Development Ordinance Section:
5.22 Landscaping General; 5.26 Landscaping: Lot Plantings, Commercial; 7.25
Pedestrian Network Standards: Commercial and Industrial; 7.27 Perimeter
Landscaping Standards: Commercial and Industrial; 7.28 Storm Water
Standards: General; Ordinance 08-17; ST-01, Street Trees; in order to
construct a new place of worship

A parcel of land
in the Southwest Quarter of Section 30, Township 35 North, Range 5 West of
the Second Principal Meridian, Porter County, Indiana, bounded and described
as follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of said Quarter; thence South
90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West, 1160.84 feet along the South line of
said Quarter; thence North 00 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds East, 310.0
feet; thence South 90 degrees 00 minutes 00 seconds West, 450.0 feet to the
East line of Covenant Place, as per the plat thereof, recorded in Plat File
36-D-4 in the Porter County Recorder’s Office; thence North 00 degrees 00
minutes 00 seconds East, along said East line, 471.11 feet; thence North 29
degrees 28 minutes 04 seconds West, 158.29 feet to the Southerly right of
way line of the Norfolk and Southern Railroad; thence along said Southerly
line the following 3 courses and distances: Around a curve to the left
having a radius of 2912.58 feet, an arc distance of 140.09 feet, subtending
a chord of 140.07 feet bearing South 64 degrees 37 minutes 04 seconds East,
around a spiral to the left having a long chord of 122.63 feet bearing South
66 degrees 11 minutes 15 seconds East; thence South 67 degrees 20 minutes 28
seconds East; 1568.93 feet to the East line of said Quarter; thence South 00
degrees 35 minutes 17 seconds East, 205.03 feet along said East Quarter line
to the Point of Commencement.

suggestions to said proposed Variance may be filed with the Executive
Director of the Porter County Plan Commission before such public hearing
and/or verbal statements relating thereto will be heard at the
above-designated time and place. A copy of the file is available for public
view at the Plan Commission office.
