NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PROPOSED ZONING AMENDMENT

Notice is hereby given that the Plan Commission of the County of Porter, Indiana will hold a public hearing on the 13th day of July, 2011 at 6:30 p.m., in the Porter County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Avenue, Suite 205, Valparaiso, Indiana to consider the petition of Joshua J. and Danielle M. Sanders, c/o Todd A. Leeth, Hoeppner, Wagner & Evans LLP, 103 E. Lincolnway, Valparaiso, Indiana for a proposed amendment to the Unified Development Ordinance to rezone a parcel of land from RR, Rural Residential to A-1, General Agriculture District to be located on the following described parcel:

A parcel of land in the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 10, Township 36 North, Range 5 West of the Second Principal Meridian, in Jackson Township, Porter County, Indiana, being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at an Aluminum Monument marking the Northwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of said Section 10; thence South 87 degrees 30 minutes 10 seconds East (assumed bearing), along the North line of said Quarter-Quarter Section, 856.09 feet to an iron rod with a William J. Rensberger I.D. Cap, and also the point of beginning; thence continuing South 87 degrees 30 minutes 10 seconds East 472.76 feet to an iron pipe marking the Northeast corner of said Quarter-Quarter Section, thence South 00 degrees 00 minutes 40 seconds East, along the East line of said Quarter-Quarter Section, 1172.22 feet to a magnetic nail with a William J. Rensberger I.D. Tag in Greening Road, said Magnetic Nail also being on the North line of a parcel of land described and recorded in Deed Record 450 page 54 in the Office of the Recorder of Porter County, Indiana; thence North 49 degrees 57 minutes 39 seconds West, along said North line, 617.01 feet to a magnetic nail with a William J. Rensberger I.D. Tag; thence North 00 degrees 00 minutes 40 seconds West, 795.89 feet to the point of beginning; containing 10.67 acres, more or less.

GENERAL LOCATION: A parcel of land located on East Greening Road between CR 400 E. and CR 475 E. in Jackson Township, Porter County, Indiana.

Written suggestions to said proposed zoning amendment may be filed with the Executive Director of the Porter County Plan Commission before such public hearing and/or verbal statements relating thereto may be heard at the above designated time and place. A copy of the file is available for public view at the Plan Commission office.
