NOTICE OF PUBLIC
HEARING
The Chesterton
Utility Service Board gives notice that it will conduct a public hearing on
May 16, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as its agenda will permit
at the Chesterton Town Hall, 726 Broadway, Chesterton, Indiana, on the Town
of Chesterton, Indiana Combined Sewer Overflow Long Term Control Plan (“the
plan”). A copy of the plan is on file at the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office,
Chesterton Town Hall, 726 Broadway, Chesterton, Indiana 46304, and at the
Chesterton Town Manager’s office, 220 Broadway, Chesterton, Indiana, for
inspection prior to the public hearing. The Town operates under NPDES Permit
No. IN0022578, and submission of the plan to the Indiana Department of
Environmental Management is a requirement of the Town’s NPDES permit. The
purpose of the public hearing is to receive comments on the plan prior to
the Utility Service Board making a recommendation on submitting the plan to
IDEM. Written comments regarding the Plan may be filed with the Secretary of
the Chesterton Utility Service Board at the Chesterton Town Hall, 726
Broadway, Chesterton, Indiana, before the hearing. Oral comments concerning
the Plan will be heard at the public hearing and the public hearing may be
continued from time to time as may be found necessary.
