HEARING PROPOSED
DEVELOPMENT
STANDARD VARIANCE
Notice is hereby
given that the Board of Zoning Appeals of the County of Porter, Indiana,
will hold a public hearing on the 15th of June, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the
Porter County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Avenue, Suite 205,
Valparaiso, Indiana, to consider the petition of Mark Birky, seeking
Development Standard Variances from the Unified Development Ordinance, to
vary the following Sections: 5.06 AS-03 Accessory Structure; Residential, to
increase maximum floor area from 1,986 square feet to 5,100 square feet;
Section 2.12 to increase maximum structure height from 20’ to 23’6”, all in
order to construct a pole barn, located on the following described parcel of
land:

FOR COMBINED PARCEL “A” AND “B”: A parcel of real estate in the N.E. 1/4 of
Section 5, Township 33 North, Range 5 West of the 2nd P.M. in Pleasant
Township, Porter County, Indiana described as follows: Beginning at the N.E.
corner of said N.E. 1/4: thence N 89º33’39” W, along the North line of said
N.E. 1/4, 238.46 feet; thence S 5º23’16” E, 452.79 feet; thence S 89º33’39”
E, parallel to said North line, 203.46 feet to said East line; thence N
00º57’21” W, along said East line, 450.58 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Containing 2.28 acres, more or less, and subject to all Legal Highways and
Easements.

A parcel of land located at 298 East 600 South, in Pleasant Township, Porter
County, Indiana

suggestions to said proposed Variance may be filed with the Executive
Director of the Porter County Plan Commission before such public hearing
and/or verbal statements relating thereto will be heard at the
above-designated time and place. A copy of the file is available for public
view at the Plan Commission office.
