Notice of Bid
Notice is hereby
given that the Ogden Dunes, Town Council, Porter County, Indiana will
receive sealed bids at the office of the Clerk Treasurer, 115 Hillcrest
Road, Ogden Dunes, at any time up to 4:00 pm on June 6, 2011, for 2011
Street Resurfacing Projects. Bids received will be opened at the meeting of
the Ogden Dunes Town Council on June 6, 2011 which meeting begins at 7:00
pm. The exact specifications for the Street Resurfacing Projects are on file
at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, 115 Hillcrest Road, Ogden Dunes,
Indiana 46368.
The projects
generally consist of placing 2600 ton (more or less) of a 4.75mm HMA (hot
mix asphalt) ultra-thin overlay (nominal thickness of 3/4”) conforming to
current INDOT section 402 specifications. A polymer-modified emulsion tack
coat (conforming to current INDOT section 902.01 specifications) will be
used. Also, a separate bid item will be required for 140 tons (more or less)
of HMA (hot mix asphalt) surface conforming to INDOT section 402, type B
specifications to resurface the Town Yard at a nominal thickness of 1.5”.
All bidders are
required to submit a financial statement, a statement of experience, which
will include but not be limited to experience with municipal street paving,
a proposed plan or plans for performing the contract to be awarded and the
equipment the bidder has available for the performance of this public
contract. The statement shall be submitted on forms prescribed by the State
Board of Accounts.
All bidders shall
submit an affidavit with their bid showing that the bidder has not entered
into a combination of agreement; (I) relative to the price to be bid by a
person; (II) to prevent a person from bidding; or (III) to induce a person
to refrain from bidding; and that the bidder’s bid is made without reference
to any other bid. Please submit your bids on forms prescribed by the Indiana
State Board of Accounts. Please include a certified check, cashier’s check,
or bid bond for a sum equal to ten percent (10%) of your bid; Form 96; your
Financial Statement; and the non-collusion affidavit referred to above.
The Town of Ogden
Dunes reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and waive
irregularities in the bids.
The Project
Specifications are available for inspection during normal business hours of
8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday at the office of the
Clerk-Treasurer, 115 Hillcrest Road, Ogden Dunes, Indiana. Other times may
