NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE

BURNS HARBOR ADVISORY PLAN

COMMISSION

Notice is hereby given that the Burns Harbor Advisory Plan Commission will hold a public hearing at the Burns Harbor Town Hall, 1240 North Boo Road, Burns Harbor, Indiana 46304, on the 2nd day of May, 2011, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the agenda for the Plan Commission may permit, to consider amendments to the text portions of the Subdivision Control and Zoning Ordinance which are part of the Burns Harbor Town Code. The changes would amend excavation permit requirements and establish a permit process for large commercial assemblies. The purpose of this public hearing is for the Plan Commission to make its recommendation to the Burns Harbor Town Council concerning such changes to the Town Code.

A copy of the proposed changes, in the form of an Ordinance, is on file for examination at the office of the Burns Harbor Clerk-Treasurer, Town Hall, 1240 North Boo Road, Burns Harbor, Indiana 46304, before the hearing. Written objections to the proposal that are filed with the Secretary of the Burns Harbor Advisory Plan Commission before the hearing date will be considered. All comments concerning the proposal will be heard. The hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary. The hearing will begin at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the agenda for the Burns Harbor Advisory Plan Commission will permit.
