NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Chesterton Town Council will, at its next regularly scheduled meeting, on April 11, 2011, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as its schedule permits, at the Chesterton Town Hall, 726 Broadway, Chesterton, Indiana 46304, hear the Petition of John Fanzo to vacate a portion of a public way generally located at Park Avenue and 22nd Street within the Town of Chesterton, more particularly described as follows, to wit:

All that portion of Park Avenue as shown on the plat of Chicago Porter Home Investment Company’s Second Addition to Porter, now in the Town of Chesterton, recorded in Miscellaneous Record “E”, page 137, in the Office of the Recorder of Porter County, Indiana, described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 21 in Block 2 in said Chicago Porter Home Investment Company’s Second Addition; thence South 66 feet more-or-less to the Northeast corner of Lot 1 in Block 3 in said Chicago Porter Home Investment Company’s Second Addition; thence West 125 feet along the north line of said Lot 1 to the Northwest corner of said Lot 1; thence North 66 feet more-or-less to the Southwest corner of said Lot 21; thence East 125 feet more-or-less along the south line of said Lot 21 to the Point of Beginning.

A copy of the Petition is on file at the office of the Town of Chesterton Clerk-Treasurer, 726 Broadway, Chesterton, Indiana 46304 for examination prior to the hearing.
