NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PROPOSED USE VARIANCE

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals of the County of Porter, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on the 20th day of January, 2010 at 6:30 p.m., in the Porter County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Avenue, Suite 205, Valparaiso, Indiana, to consider the petition of H. Glenn Wiles & George Musgrave, 920 N. 100 W., Chesterton, seeking a Use Variance from Section 2.11 of the Unified Development Ordinance, RR District Intent & Permitted Uses, to continue to operate a retail flower business with an existing sign; to be located on the following described parcel of land:

A parcel of land in the East 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of Section 15, Township 36 North, Range 6 West of the 2nd P.M. in Liberty Township, Porter County, Indiana, described as follows: Commencing at the SE corner of said SE 1/4; thence North along the East line of said SE 1/4 1070.00 feet; thence West at 90º to said East line, 375.0 feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing West at 90º to said East line, 200.0 feet; thence North, parallel to said East line, 200.0 feet; thence East at 90º to said East line 200.0 feet; thence South , parallel to said East line, 200.0 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 0.92 acres, more or less.

GENERAL LOCATION: A parcel of land at 920 N. 100 W., in Liberty Township, Porter County, Indiana.

Written suggestions to said proposed zoning amendment may be filed with the Executive Director of the Porter County Plan Commission before such public hearing and/or verbal statements relating thereto will be heard at the above designated time and place. A copy of the file is available for public view at the Plan Commission office.
