NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

AN AMENDMENT TO THE PORTER COUNTY CODE

Notice is hereby given that the Plan Commis-

sion of the County of Porter, Indiana will hold a

public hearing on Monday the 21st day of No-

vember, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Porter County

Administrative Center, 155 Indiana Ave., Suite

205, Valparaiso, Indiana for an amendment to

Title 8, of the Porter County Code; Health and

Safety, with the addition of Chapter 8.038; titled

Property Maintenance:

The purpose of this Section is to establish mini-

mum requirements for the maintenance of

premises, vacant, under construction and es-

tablished; and structures, vacant, under con-

struction and established, in order to promote

and protect the public health, safety and welfare

of the residents within the unincorporated area

of Porter County.

A copy of the proposed amendment to the Uni-

fied Development Ordinance is available for

public inspection at the Porter County Plan

Commission’s office. Written suggestion to said

proposed amendment to the Unified Develop-

ment Ordinance may be filed with the Executive

Director of the Porter County Plan Commission

before such public hearing and/or verbal state-

ments relating thereto will be heard at the

above designated time and place.
