NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

AN AMENDMENT TO THE UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE

Notice is hereby given that the Plan Commis-

sion of the County of Porter, Indiana will hold a

public hearing on Monday the 21st day of No-

vember, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Porter County

Administrative Center, 155 Indiana Ave., Suite

205, Valparaiso, Indiana for an amendment to

Ordinance No. 07-05, Porter County Unified

Development Ordinance, Chapter 10, Proc-

esses, Permits, and Fees: Section 10.09 Devel-

opment Plan.

Said ordinance shall amend Section 10.09 De-

velopment Plan in its entirety. Section 10.09

Development Plan applies to the following zon-

ing districts in the unincorporated area of Porter

County; R4, Multiple-Family Residential; MP,

Manufactured Home Park; IN, Institutional; OT,

Office Technology; CN, Neighborhood Com-

mercial; CM, Moderate Intensity Commercial;

CH, High Intensity Commercial; I1, Light Indus-

trial; I2, General Industrial; I3, Heavy Industrial

and HI, High Impact Uses. Section 10.09 Devel-

opment Plan outlines the procedures employed

by Porter County when considering an applica-

tion for the approval of a Development Plan.

A copy of the proposed amendment to the Uni-

fied Development Ordinance is available for

public inspection at the Porter County Plan

Commission’s office. Written suggestion to said

proposed amendment to the Unified Develop-

ment Ordinance may be filed with the Executive

Director of the Porter County Plan Commission

before such public hearing and/or verbal state-

ments relating thereto will be heard at the

above designated time and place.
