Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Chesterton Town Council will, at its next regularly scheduled meeting, on November 9, 2009, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as its schedule permits, at the Chesterton Town Hall, 726 Broadway, Chesterton, Indiana 46304, hear the Petition of Lorrie A. Wells to vacate the following real property located within the Town of Chesterton, to wit:

All that portion of Park Avenue as shown on the plat of Chicago Porter Home Investment Company’s Second Addition to Porter, now in the Town of Chesterton, recorded in Miscellaneous Record “E”, page 137, in the office of the Recorder of Porter County, Indiana, described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 1 in Woodside Manor, in the Town of Chesterton, as per plat thereof, recorded in Plat File 20-A-6, and Corrective Amendment recorded in Miscellaneous Record 134, page 477, in the Office of the Recorder of Porter County, Indiana; thence West 134.52 feet along the North line of said Lot 1 to the Northwest corner of said Lot 1; thence North 66 feet more-or-less to the south line of Block 24 in said Chicago Porter Home Investment Company’s Second Addition; thence East 134.52 feet more or less along the south line of said Block 24 to the Southeast corner of Lot 20 in Block 24 in said Chicago Porter Home Investment Company’s Second Addition; thence South 66 feet more-or-less to the Northeast corner of said Lot 1 to the Point of Beginning.

A copy of the Petition is on file at the office of the Town of Chesterton Clerk-Treasurer, 726 Broadway, Chesterton, Indiana 46304 for examination prior to the hearing.
