NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PROPOSED VARIANCE

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Zoning Appeals of the County of Porter, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on the 18th of November, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. in the Porter County Administration Center, 155 Indiana Avenue, Suite 205, Valparaiso, Indiana, to consider the petition of Jeffrey Cannon, 90 E. 850 S., Kouts, seeking a Variance from Section 2.08 A-1 District Development Standards of the Unified Development Ordinance, to permit erection of a 65-foot high wind generator, greater than the 20 feet allowed, to be located on the following described property:

A parcel of land in the NE 1/4 of Section 13, Township 33 North, Range 6 West of the 2nd Principal Meridian in Pleasant Township, Porter County, Indiana, described as follows: Commencing at the NE corner of the NE 1/4 of said SE 1/4; thence West, along the North line of said NE 1/4 1/4 525.00 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence South 500.00 feet; thence West 175.00 feet; thence North, 500.00 feet, to the North line of said NE 1/4 1/4; thence East along said North line, 175.00 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing 2.0 acres, more or less, and subject to all legal highways and easements.

GENERAL LOCATION: A parcel of land located at 90 E. 850 S., in Pleasant Township, Porter County, Indiana.

Written suggestions to said proposed zoning amendment may be filed with the Executive Director of the Porter County Plan Commission before such public hearing and/or verbal statements relating thereto will be heard at the above-designated time and place. A copy of the file is available for public view at the Plan Commission office.
