INDIANAPOLIS
(AP) — Hoosiers can begin tracking their vaccination records online.
Officials with
the Indiana State Department of Health announced Monday that parents will
be able to track records for their children online using the MyVaxIndiana
website.
The online
service is being paid for with a $150,000 federal grant from the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services.
State Health
Commissioner Gregory Larkin says the new service should make it easier for
families to get the proper vaccinations. HHS official Judy Murphy says the
tool will put more control in the hands of patients.
Hoosiers first
have to get their personal identification numbers from their doctors
before setting up an account. Once they have that they can find their
vaccination history online.
