Recent news about bills in the Indiana legislature which would affect the Indiana Dunes State Park has prompted a rise in requests for the Dunes Action! yard signs and buttons.

Signs, buttons, and petitions against alcohol being reintroduced at the Indiana Dunes State Park, are currently available at: Red Cup CafŽ, 115 Broadway, Chesterton; and LOAF (Local Organic Affordable Food), 401 North Calumet Road, Chesterton.

LOAF hours are Monday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 am to 5:30 p.m.; Saturday, 10 am to 2 p.m.; Sunday closed.

Red Cup Cafe hours are Monday to Saturday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday closed.

Both locations are hosting No Alcohol petitions, and have signs and buttons available.

Suggested donation for yard signs is $10. Suggested donation for buttons/pins is $3 for 1 or 2 for $5. All donations are tax deductible. The No Alcohol petitions are available in anticipation of the yet to be announced appeal hearing with the State Alcohol Commission.
