The Save the Dune Shop, a shop and gallery staffed by volunteers to support the work of the Save the Dunes Council, is celebrating 35 years in business this year.

Volunteers staff the shop which carries a variety of Save the Dunes and South Shore posters as well as original art by regional artists.

The Save the Dunes Shop may have just what you’re looking for and shopping  at the little shop on U.S. 12 is one way to help preserve and protect precious natural areas throughout the dunes region.

The gift shop and art gallery offers reasonable prices on a mix of unique items suitable for all ages, including stocking stuffers for kids, handmade jewelry, paintings, photographs, books, clothing and pottery.

Volunteers staff the shop, allowing all profits from purchases to be passed on to the Save the Dunes Council. Proceeds from the Save the Dunes Shop enable the conservation group to continue its work to preserve and protect the Indiana Dunes.

The Save the Dunes Shop, on U.S. 12 near Broadway in Beverly Shores, is located in the same building as the Glenn Firme & Associates art supply store.

Hours are Monday - Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call Glenn Firme & Associates at 219-874-4003.
