School Board filing ends with one race contested local candidates listed

Filing for local school board offices closed on Friday, Aug 21, with one race for the Duneland School Board contested between former Duneland Schools Assistant Superintendent Monte Moffett and former CHS Assistant Principal Tim McGinty.

Moffett and McGinty are vying for the At-Large School Board seat to be vacated by longtime Duneland School Board member John Marshall. Incumbent Tom Schnabel has also filed to retain the Jackson Township seat.

Now, all candidates should be known, as ballot vacancies have been filled and the deadlines for Libertarian, minor party, and write-in candidates to file have passed. The following is a list of candidates in all local races:
