Pre Election coverage begins with school board on WDSO

Pre-election coverage will begin this Thursday, October 18, on WDSOs Porter County Perspective program. The program will feature candidates for Duneland School Board At-Large and the Liberty Township seat on the Duneland School Board.

Host for the program will be WDSO News Director, J.D. Cory. Guests will include Duneland School Board-At-Large candidates Robert (Bob) Filipek, Alayna Lightfoot Pol, Stephen Rohe and Rhonda Rho Turner Day, along with Liberty Township candidates for the Duneland School Board Brian Custy and Ronald Stone (incumbent).

The station will be contacting candidates for the Porter County offices of Clerk, Auditor, Recorder, Coroner ,and Council Districts 1, 3 and 4 in preparation for the October 25 program. The final program will include candidates for Porter County Commissioner, Judge Superior Court No. 2, Prosecuting Attorney, and State Representative in Districts 4 and 9.

This weeks Porter County Perspective will air at 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, and will be rebroadcast on Friday, October 19, at noon.

All interviews will be rebroadcast on Monday, November 5, the day before the election.

Election coverage will conclude on November 6, Election Night, when the WDSO news team will report election results starting at 7 p.m.
