Porter County Bar Association polls members on Prosecutor and Judge races

The Porter County Bar Association has polled its members on their opinions of candidates in two contested races: incumbent Republican Brian Gensel and Democrat challenger Gary Germann, Porter County Prosecuting Attorney; and incumbent Republican Jeffery Clymer and Democrat challenger Clay Patton, Porter Superior Court 2.

The Bar Association released the results after deadline on Friday.

Seventy-one attorneys responded to the electronic poll conducted from Oct. 31 through Nov. 2.

Prosecuting Attorney

Gensel:

* Strongly Approve: 18.31 percent (13 responses).

* Approve: 28.17 percent (20).

* Disapprove: 33.8 percent (24).

* Strongly Disapprove: 19.72 percent (14).

Germann:

* Strongly Approve: 66.2 percent (47 responses).

* Approve: 16.9 percent (12).

* Disapprove: 8.45 percent (six).

* Strongly Disapprove: 8.45 percent (six).

Porter Superior Court 2

Clymer:

* Strongly Approve: 63.38 percent (45 responses).

* Approve: 21.13 percent (15).

* Disapprove: 8.45 percent (six).

* Strongly Disapprove: 7.04 percent (five).

Patton:

* Strongly Approve: 30.99 percent (22 responses).

* Approve: 32.29 percent (23).

* Disapprove: 18.31 percent (13).

* Strongly Disapprove: 18.31 percent (13).
