Pat Boy wins Democrat nod for Indiana House 9th District

Patricia A. (Pat) Boy handily won the Democrat nomination on Tuesday for the open 9th District seat in the Indiana House.

Boy took 378 votes in Duneland or 59 percent to Sean Fitzpatrick’s 182 votes or 28 percent; and to Duane Perry’s 84 votes or 132 percent.

Boy will face Republican Dan Granquist in the general election on Nov. 6. Granquist ran unopposed.

The 9th District seat is currently held by State Rep. Scott Pelath, who declined to run for re-election.

Boy serves as member of the City Council in Michigan City.

Indiana House, District 4

State Rep. Ed Soliday ran unopposed for the Republican nomination for the 4th District seat in the Indiana House. In November Soliday will face Democrat Frank Szczepanski, who also ran unopposed on Tuesday.

Indiana House, District 10

State Rep. Charles “Chuck” Moseley ran unopposed on Tuesday for the Democrat nomination for the 10th District seat in the Indiana House. No Republican has filed.

Indiana Senate, District 4

State Sen. Karen Tallian ran unopposed for the Democrat nomination for the 4th District in the Indiana Senate. In November Tallian will face Republican Cole Stultz, who also ran unopposed.
