Contested races in TriTown elections tomorrow

There is at least one contested race on the ballot in each Tri-Town municipal election on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

There are two contested races in the Chesterton election:

--Clerk-Treasurer: Republican incumbent Stephanie Kuziela is facing Democrat challenger Courtney Udvare.

--Town Council, 5th District: Republican incumbent Emerson DeLaney is facing Independent challenger Jennifer Fisher.

There is a single contested race in the Porter election:

--Town Council, 4th District: Republican Jim Burge is facing Democrat David Phillips for the seat currently held by Ross LeBleu, who opted not to run for re-election.

And there is one contested race in Burns Harbor:

--Town Council, at-large, vote for five of seven candidates: Democrat incumbents Eric Hull, Nicholas Loving, and Raymond (Ray) Poparad. Republican incumbent Toni Biancardi and Republican challengers Roseann Bozak, Walter (Wally) Macchiarella, and James P. McGee. Incumbent Kevin Tracy opted not to run for re-election.

Polls open at 6 a.m. and closed at 6 p.m.
