seat in the Indiana House, which includes Valparaiso and portions of
Chesterton, Liberty Township, Wheeler, and Hebron.
Blohm is “pledged
to ensure our communities are safe, prosperous, and welcoming to all,”
according to statement released on Monday.
The son of two
educators, Dr. Paul and Beth, Blohm is a “student of public service,” the
statement said, learning the value of leadership and service in the Boy

working to strengthen the community ever since.”
Blohm is currently
a member of the Valparaiso Fire Protection Board and serves as chair of the
Young Professionals Board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater NWI. Blohm
is a 2014 graduate of the Valparaiso Chamber Leadership Academy, a 2020
pending-graduate of the Emerging Leaders Program, and enjoys volunteering at
the Westchester Township History Museum. Blohm manages the operations of a
marketing agency in Valparaiso.
aims to include voices that have been left behind by the longstanding
majority in the Indiana House of Representatives, and his platform seeks to
support programs utilized by millions of Hoosiers,” the statement said.
“We live in a state
where one political party holds the governor’s office as well as majorities
in the State Senate and House--yet our public schools are underfunded and
over-tested, our workforce is being undermined, and our healthcare services
are being attacked,” Blohm said. “We need to bring balance to our state
government and that’s exactly what my goal is.”
